Ace has taken a big stride in its pursuit of excellence with a novel venture christened as Curiosity Hub. The objective is to get kids become curious learners, a prime ingredient in the recipe of enjoying the taste of reaching the pinnacles of achievement. A physical structure, a beautiful piece of metalwork, built solely for the purpose is designed to give the area a unique ambience to suit the process. Here, the kids will have a world to engage in meaningful lessons of their preference delving deep into the areas of human achievements, thereby keeping the horizon of their curiosity wide open ‘to follow knowledge like a sinking star.’
To provide reinforcement to the mission, children are given additional tasks encouraging them to respond to challenges and puzzles under the programme Logical Crystals from the Maths Department. Interestingly, some students present topics during the school assembly. Moreover, the vocabulary challenges and brain teasers adorn the corridor walls in what can be described as the celebration of intellectual carnival at the school.
A supervisor to monitor and facilitate the learning activities has been posted and the designated place has become a hub for the hustle and bustle of learning in tune with the curiosity curriculum. Noticeably, the supply of i-tabs in the class is set to further send their enthusiasm through the roof since the kids have been given options to engage in learning through games afforded by the Apps for each subject.
The curiosity hub here is going to stay and is not a flash in the pan. The children will have chances to utilise the facilities during the substitution hours in the presence of teachers assigned for the purpose. Indeed, the resources like the tabs with plenty of learning videos and games, books with brain teasers and challenges, posters and charts that set the kids up on a competitive spirit and an exhilarating environment besides having a team of taskforce should bolster the core idea getting materialised in this new iron edifice.
Why curiosity?

The school has initiated measures to nurture curiosity in children. Child is the father of man. How easily do small things awaken their attention and interest! Curiously, they learn to question, explore, think and take pride in the revelation of tiny discoveries. Being drawn by the glare of technology to unravel the complex modes of operation of the smart digital devices they become smart beings today.
At which stage does the intensity of curiosity in a person diminish? Have we got so engrossed in the superfluous distractions around us that tempt us to shun the act of thinking as laborious and time consuming? “Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will.” Undoubtedly, all dangerous missions and expeditions from time immemorial have been propelled by this fuel of curiosity that brought out new continents, explored space, invented technology, accelerated human progress and expedited the process of communication.
If the world has evolved into its present status because the spirit of enquiry bubbled up in some minds we still have room to be more inquisitive to ward off the dangers heralding universal doom. So sustain we must this elixir of curiosity to choose and pursue right education at the right time, to lead healthy life finding cure for terminal illnesses that plunder everything of a patient before claiming the miserable victim’s decayed life, to protect the environment from polluting it with toxic elements, to create more job opportunities, to further technological advancements, to augment the production of food grains, to explore the world and to counter the menace of organized butchery of humanity. This list can be as big as the vastness of eternity.
Understandably, the curious minds join hands with the universe in the creative scheme of fashioning, chiselling or shaping a life sustaining world. As St Augustine remarks, “free curiosity is of more value than harsh discipline.” Thus, the school is on a mission to bring out a bunch of curious minds to work as trend setters of the future world.
